Crossroads is excited to honor students who demonstrate a strong work ethic. The school administration and classroom teachers will work together to identify those students (grades 3, 4 and 5) who meet all 10 standards this year.
These standards were established by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Education Alliance of Northern Kentucky, and adopted by Crossroads. The standards are:
Standard 1: Discipline
Standard 2: Attendance
Standard 3: Absence
Standard 4: Tardiness
Standard 5: Community Service
Standard 6: Academic Performance
Standard 7: Work Habits
Standard 8: Punctuality and Preparedness
Standard 9: Respect
Standard 10: Cooperation
Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are being introduced to the program in their counseling classes. Each will receive a booklet to bring home which explains in more detail how the program works. A recognition dinner will be held at the end of this year. (This is a change from past years when students could achieve the award twice a year.) The student will be invited along with two guests.
