In addition to providing academic, personal/social, and career counseling services to our students, the couseling team here at Crossroads sets specific goals each year upon careful review of our school's data.  A collaborative approach to goal setting is used; we value input from our Advisory Council, administration, and staff.  A number of data points are reviewed to determine our counseling goals, including:  K-PREP scores, MAP scores, attendance data, discipline referral data, our School Improvement Plan, and needs assessments completed by every Crossroads student.

2016-17 Crossroads Counseling Goals

The Student Success Skills, tier one school counseling intervention will be delivered across grade levels resulting in a 10% decrease in office behavior referrals schoolwide compared to the first trimester of 2015-2016 in the first trimester of 2016-2017.

Third grade students identified with an IEP will receive targeted Tier Two school counseling interventions using the Ready for Success curriculum.  Equity gaps between students with an IEP and other students on the MAP Reading scores will be decreased by 3 percentage points from the Fall MAP Reading assessment to the Spring MAP Reading assessment.

Second grade students identified as struggling in reading will be targeted for Tier Two Counseling Interventions (Ready for Success).  Students will be identified by teacher-report, academic performance, and Fall MAP Reading data and those students will increase their reading scores by 5% more than students not receiving the school counseling interventions as scored on the Spring MAP Reading test.
