We are so excited about the launch of our brand new Peer Mediation Program this year!  Peer mediation is a problem-solving process students can go through with trained mediators when there is a conflict.  We are proud to say that we have trained an excellent group of 10 fourth and fifth grade students to

make up our Peer Mediation Team.  The Peer Mediation Team has been trained to assist their peers in grades 2-5 with applying problem solving strategies to settle disputes with their peers.  Peer mediation teaches students necessary skills they will use throughout their lives in conflict situations.  We have introduced the concept to the school over the morning announcements and 2nd through 5th grade students can be referred for mediation by teachers, counselors, and/or principals.
